This week we were so happy to finally re-open our Clinical Exercise classes at both our Olinda and Mt Evelyn studios. The current classes on offer are a mixture of Clinical Pilates, Clinical Strength and GLA:D or Youth Strength and Conditioning.
These classes focus on individualised programs designed by your physiotherapist and are tailored to specific needs and desired goals.
For those who are after guidance on how to safely return to exercise after the COVID break, fix an ongoing niggle or injury, improve your sporting performance or to chase some new goals for 2021 then these are a perfect way to get started!
COVID safe classes
There are strict guidelines in place to ensure that the health of our clients, staff and community is maintained including:
- 8 sq.m per participant (e.g., around Pilates/Strength equipment)
- Reduced numbers of participants per class
- 15-minute gap between classes with strict start/finish times to reduce loitering before or after classes
- Hand sanitiser stations
- ‘Clean as you go’ policy on equipment with towels and detergent available for each participant
- Adequate ventilation
Mask wearing is mandatory during the class except if you have a medical exemption or if you are out of breath on exertion.
Memberships and holidays
With the upcoming Christmas and holiday period we are able to offer suspensions of Clinical memberships and extension of class packs if necessary.
If you haven’t participated in our Clinical classes before, book in for an initial Clinical Exercise Assessment with one of our physiotherapists at Olinda or Mt Evelyn prior to your first class. Your physiotherapist will assess your needs and goals, and devise a program specifically tailored to suit.
