We have experienced Physiotherapists who are passionate about assisting you with the remarkable changes that occur during pregnancy and are able to help you achieve your health and fitness goals in the postpartum period. 

Jen Vardy has a special interest in Women’s Health and is particularly passionate about assisting women with their pregnancy health and wellness. Jen and the Physio team here at Form & Practice can assist with many pregnancy-related conditions including:

We believe it’s important for all postpartum women to access a health assessment post birth.  This assessment includes a comprehensive and sensitive review of your birth and risk factors for pelvic floor dysfunction, assessment of abdominal and pelvic floor muscles to guide your return to exercise and include general strength exercises to reduce the risk of back pain and stiffness with the demands of caring for a newborn/toddler. The assessment will greatly reduce future risk associated with the postpartum period but also help you return to the sports, and fitness activities you love!

Pre and Postnatal exercise classes are currently held ONLINE due to the COVID19 pandemic. The sessions are recorded and have worked well for mum’s struggling to keep a regular class time each week with babies/toddlers in tow. The online format will continue beyond the current situation!

Clinical exercise classes are Physio led pilates classes and are another fabulous way to focus on key strength and mobility issues that can help improve and maintain your fitness and function in pregnancy and post baby. Classes will resume in our Olinda and Mt Evelyn studio as soon as restrictions are lifted.

In France and the UK Postpartum Women’s Health Physiotherapy sessions are funded by the NHS to help women return to their optimal health and fitness. We hope to encourage postnatal assessments for all women to optimise their recovery and return to fitness.
